Sharing information and solutions with other towns and large parishes is a fundamental part of the Forum's activities. Indeed the Forum was launched as a result of the realisation that rural towns were facing similar issues and could therefore benefit by learning from others who have successfully met those challenges.
Regular networking meetings are held around the county during the year, with a theme for each designed to interest those who are working hard to keep their communities alive and thriving. These meetings give people a chance to ask questions, talk about successes and learn from experts.
In addition, the Forum organises occasional Look and Learn visits to specific communities in and around Gloucestershire which have developed innovative ways of facing the challenges faced by rural towns.
